Your Co-Hosts

Co-sponsors Whitney Ferré and Bill Olsen are honored to share the Journey with you.  “Why this Journey?” & “Why Bill & Whitney?” have a shared answer…

it’s a shared Journey!

Before the inaugural Journey Retreat had even ended, participants wanted to commit to the “next stop” on The Journey. The Journey Retreat II at Joshua Tree Retreat Center will be held December 19-22, 2012 (ahem…12/21/12).

Whitney & Bill were each in a former career when called in 1996 to creative pursuits; a call that led each to career & life-changing implications.  Bill then as a Navy Commander and Whitney in direect sales both leaped full-immersion, he to creative thinking & facilitating and she to creative artistry & coaching.  Expanding their clients and interests globally, they collectively reached thousands as recognized leaders of their craft.  In their journeys, they began exploring deeper questions of spirituality and their own next chapter.  Whitney sought to courageously express her artistic voice in new spiritual ways; Bill sought to launch new retreats, balancing creative & spiritual thinking.

There are no coincidences.

They finally met as leaders in 10/11 at the Africa Creativity Conference.   Recognizing their shared paths, a new journey emerged. On 11/11/11 they created “Journey”, a retreat planned to merge their shared synergies, announcing it on 12/12/11 and inviting you.   Deliberately, they selected the Journey theme, a venue with a history of spirituality and its dates during Worldwide Creativity & Innovation Week. The experience was magical, transformational, and inspired our announcement for our next leg of The Journey. Now, The Journey II will be held at Joshua Tree Retreat Center December 2012.

Bill Olsen & Whitney Ferré invite you to their inaugural retreat:

Creativity.  Spirituality.  It’s a Journey…yours.

Whitney Ferré believes that the key to our (r)evolution lies within our creative mind. She believes that it is only when we embrace and amplify our creative power that we can truly align with our Higher Self, which is INFINITELY creative. At CreativelyFit.com Whitney inspires her online clients around the world to embrace their role as the ARTIST in the ART that is their life. She takes them on a JOURNEY within, where painting and doodling become meditation and an opportunity for the mind to expand, for the ego and the to-do list to melt away, and for a new personal confidence to emerge. Whitney has two published books on creativity, including The Artist Within, A Guide to Becoming Creatively Fit, (endorsed by Dan Pink and Michael Gelb). Her unique application of art making & personal empowerment has garnered national attention on CBS News, Martha Stewart Radio, & HGTV. She has presented at the American Creativity Association, the Creative Education Foundation, the Africa Creativity Conference, and the Esalen Institute. Her creative & spiritual JOURNEY began in 1996 when she opened an art center with NO art training. As she became Creatively Fit, along with her clients, she also found her spirituality awakening on new levels. She recently launched The SPIRIT Project 2012 that finally unifies her two favorite pursuits: CREATIVITY & SPIRITUALITY. The next step is THE JOURNEY where she is excited to connect, in person, with those of you who are inspired to explore the far reaches of the “known” and move into new, uncharted territory.  Based on her “slice of heaven” ranch in Oregon, Whitney provides her services globally.

Whitney Ferré is your co-host.  During the weekend retreat she will share “Accessing Your Infinite Creative” & “The Painting Journey”, and conduct book signings.  She will also will present “Painting a Path to Spirit” as a pre-retreat program.

Bill Olsen is a nationally-ranked Facilitator and international speaker focused on delivering accelerated results through Creative Thinking and Creative Problem Solving.  From National summits to local training he has a reputation for delivering dynamic offsites with tangible outcomes.  His passion is creatively serving those with a genuine need for meaningful change

As a US Navy Commander, he transitioned from service at-sea, to managing Programs ashore.  His journey began in 1996 while leading a high-risk project as he discovered Creative Problem Solving (CPS).  Applying CPS, his project achieved unparalleled success and the Nation’s “Silver Hammer Award for Reinventing Government”.   He began facilitating other high-risk programs, accelerating each to early milestones and four more Silver Hammers.   By 1997 as a Professor presenting left-brained systems management, he also launched a right-brained elective.  Think 101 became formally recognized as “the most popular series of electives in the history of the University”.  His journey was sealed as he refused a Navy promotion, and three executive positions. He wanted more.

Since 1999 Bill has been a full-time consultant, having served clients in 17 countries and 28 US states.  Bill attributes much of his success to a deeper understanding of the 3-way synergy across a team’s goals, creativity and inner drive.  Heart, mind & soul.  He calls it, the Dance.

Bill is a Certified Professional Facilitator® and listed in the “Top 20” of the www.FindAFacilitator.com database.   He has been a keynote speaker, presenter and emcee at over 30 international conferences focused on Creativity and Facilitation, the most important of which called him to Africa.   He still seeks more; a Journey of heart, mind & soul. From his DC-area Basecamp, Bill provides his services globally.

Bill Olsen is your co-host.  During the retreat he will keynote; “Create your Life.  Live your Creativity” & share his “Journey of Storytelling” and reveal the secret of facilitating the dance. He will also present “Thinking Types & Whole-Brain Stripes”, a pre-retreat program that provides the NBI instrument.
